Dr Isabella Commins

Dr Isabella Commins is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) at Monash University in 2018. Isabella completed her Basic Physician Training at the Alfred Hospital, before undertaking Advanced Training in Gastroenterology at both the Alfred Hospital and St Vincent’s Public Hospital, culminating in a subspeciality Hepatology fellowship at the Alfred Hospital. 

Isabella currently works as a Visiting Medical Officer at the Alfred Hospital and is experienced in the assessment and management of a broad range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, including fatty liver disease, cirrhosis and its complications, viral hepatitis, abnormal liver function tests, gastrointestinal bleeding, iron deficiency, coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She performs endoscopic procedures such as Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy. 

Isabella is currently undertaking a PhD through Monash University investigating fatty liver disease.
